Bitcoin spot ETFs in the U.S. are on a winning streak. On June 17, 2025, capital inflows reached $216.48 million, marking the seventh consecutive day of positive momentum. Over the past week, these investment vehicles have attracted more than $1.6 billion, according to data from SoSoValue.
BlackRock Leads, Despite Outflows Elsewhere
The standout performer on June 17 was BlackRock’s IBIT ETF, which alone drew in a massive $639.19 million. However, not all funds fared as well:
- Fidelity’s FBTC saw an outflow of $208.46 million
- ARKB (ARK Invest) lost $191.40 million
- BITB (Bitwise) dropped by $22.84 million
Eight other ETFs recorded no notable flows that day.
Despite mixed results among funds, the overall trend remains solidly bullish — especially when one issuer brings in more than the total sector inflow. BlackRock continues to show dominance in the institutional adoption race.
Ethereum ETFs Also Gaining Ground
The positive movement isn’t limited to Bitcoin. Ethereum spot ETFs also registered gains for the second consecutive day, with a total of $11.09 million added on June 17.
- BlackRock’s ETHA pulled in $36.71 million
- Bitwise’s ETH fund gained $3.62 million
However, not all ETH products thrived:
- Grayscale’s ETHE saw an outflow of $9.02 million
- Fidelity’s FETH lost $20.22 million
Overall, the Ethereum ETF space is starting to pick up steam after a quiet few weeks, likely fueled by optimism around a possible Solana ETF, which recently appeared in the DTCC registry under the ticker VSOL — a potential sign of pending approval.
Should You Buy or Wait?
Institutional capital is flowing steadily into Bitcoin ETFs, especially from powerhouses like BlackRock. This could reflect growing confidence ahead of macro events like the FOMC decision or renewed bullish sentiment after last week’s volatility.
However, the mixed flows in Ethereum and other funds suggest that investor caution still exists — especially around altcoins. Whether this is the start of a sustained rally or just a temporary bounce remains to be seen.
